Partner With World Sailing Day Awards
The World’s Most Prestigious Awards for Sailing.
The World Sailing Day Awards bring together sailors, clubs, companies and communities together to showcase, to the world the people and organisations which have demonstrated excellence, innovation and who are shaping the future of sailing.
Who We Partner With
We work with organisations that want to grow sailing and share its impact with more people. Most partners fall into three groups:
Media and Press partners
Outlets, broadcasters, digital platforms and cultural projects that tell sailing’s stories.
Media partners help document local World Sailing Day activities and share them with wider audiences, from niche sailing communities to the general public.
Club & Community partners
Sailing clubs, schools, harbour organisations and community groups that host on-the-water and waterfront activities.
These partners use our Event Day Kits and Awards framework to bring people to the water, showcase local talent and connect their harbour to the global World Sailing Day storyline.
Company partners
Brands, shipyards, marinas, equipment suppliers and service providers that support the sport and the wider marine sector.
Industry partners gain a credible, independent platform to show innovation, responsibility and long-term commitment to sailing and coastal communities.
Benefit
World Sailing Day gives clubs, cities, museums, brands and media a neutral global platform to show what they already do for sailing – and to reach new people with it. By partnering with us, your existing programmes, campaigns and stories become part of a visible international movement centred on 28 May.

What Partners Gain
Every partnership supports our five core objectives: growing participation, promoting the sailing industry, strengthening the global sailing community, fostering sustainable, ocean-friendly development and celebrating excellence.

- Association with specific themes, Awards categories or initiatives where your organisation has a natural, credible fit.

Content & Storytelling
- Opportunities to feature your projects, products or programmes in World Sailing Day stories, case studies, interviews or campaign highlights.
- Connect your work to sailing’s innovation, sustainability, youth and cultural dimensions.
- Stand beside shared values: safety, fair play, sustainability, access, innovation, culture and respect for the marine environment.
Network & Relationships
- Invitations to selected events with clubs, cities, industry leaders, cultural institutions and media.
- Direct contact points into a broad, international ecosystem of potential collaborators.
- Connection with a clearly defined community – sailors, clubs, federations, shipyards, marinas, events, media and coastal cities.
- A neutral, credible platform where brands, institutions and communities can collaborate transparently.
Activation Opportunities
- Co-create activities/events, challenges or promotions linked to World Sailing Day or the SailingMiles programme.
- Options to name, support and align particular Awards categories
- Be present across the whole cycle
World Sailing Day is more than one event. It links local activities, the global Awards, club and industry campaigns and the SailingMiles programme, giving partners multiple touchpoints before, on and after 28 May.
How Partnership Works
Partnership discussions for the next World Sailing Day cycle are open year-round, with most activity focused in the months leading up to 28 May.
1. Initial conversation
Send us a short message via the partnership form, telling us who you are, where you’re based and what you’re interested in – Awards, local activities, media, sponsorship, or a mix.
2. Partnership design
We schedule a call or online meeting to understand your goals, audiences and what you already do for sailing. Together we explore whether World Sailing Day is a good match and what level of partnership makes sense.
3. Clear roles and timelines
Based on that conversation, we outline the partnership options, visibility and timing we can offer. Once you’re happy, we confirm the arrangement and practical details in writing.
4. Activation
The partnership runs across the World Sailing Day cycle.
